Candidates willing to apply must have passed Sashtri or BA Sanskrit or its equivalent under 10+2+3 system with 50% pass marks.
Or
Candidates who have have passed two years of Shastri/B.A Sanskrit or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks can also apply.
Or
Applicants should have passed in 1-year bridge course/Setu or one year of Acharya/MA Sanskrit.
Or
Candidates must have passed Acharya/MA Sanskrit/its equivalent.
Even applicants who are appearing for the final exams of their qualifying degree can also apply. However, they have to pass the exam and produced required documents for that by the time of admission.
The exam has two parts - Part A and Part B. The questions in Part A will be of multiple choice format and Part B will have questions to be answered in essay format. The duration to answer questions in Part A is two hours and the same for Part B of the exam is half-an hour. Total marks for Part A is 160 marks and the same for Part B is 40 marks. The total duration to answer all the questions in the test is 2 hours 30 minutes. The pattern is being provided in tabular format for the sake of the candidates below:
