Eligibility for CAT 2022

Educational qualification

Applicants trying to apply for CAT must have passed bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognised institution located across the country. Candidates who have appeared for the final exams of their qualifying degree and are waiting for the results or who are about to appear for the final exams can also apply. However, they have to pass the exams and provide the proof for it by the time of admission. Even candidates who have studied CA/CS/ICWA degrees are also eligible to apply.

Nationality

Applicant must be a citizen of India and must be residing in any state or union territory in India.

Pass marks/Age regulations

There is no upper age limit criteria to appear for CAT 2022. Candidates must have scored at least 50% in graduation if they are from General category. For reserved category candidates, the minimum aggregate marks are 45%. 

Exam pattern for CAT 2022

Exam is conducted in online mode and questions have to be answered in two hours time. The topics from which questions will be asked are Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR). Every correct answer gets 3 marks and a wrong answer loses 1 mark in MCQ type questions. There is no negative marking in TITA type questions.
