About DPU AIBTCET 2022

DY PATIL VIDYAPEETH ALL INDIA BIOTECHNOLOGY COMMON ENTRANCE TEST 2022 Dr. DY Patil University (DPU) located in Maharashtra conducts All India Biotechnology Common Entrance Test (AIBTCET) to provide admission into biotechnology oriented courses at graduation and integrated (graduation+post graduation) level.

The courses are offered in BTech. Biotechnology, BTech. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science, BTech. Medical Biotechnology, MTech (Integrated) Biotechnology and MSc (Biotechnology) at Dr. D.Y. Patil Biotechnology & Bioinformatics Institute. Students who wish to study the above mentioned courses can aim for this exam which is an institutional level exam and is conducted once a year. 

The notification is released on the official website of DPU at appropriate time every year. Candidates can submit applications after the notification is released. Currently, application submission facility is on and candidates can submit the applications in online and offline modes till 22/07/2022 till 5:00 PM.

As per the online mode, candidates can visit the official website and click the link for registration and create an account comprisiing username and password. Post creation of account, they can login with help of password and username obtained during the registration and start filling the form, they can upload the required documents, pay the registration fees and then submit the form.

As per the offline mode, the application can be downloaded from the official website of the institution and it can be filled and sent to the institution either through post or courier. Students can also visit the institution in person and procure the application form and fill it and send it to the institution.  

Post application form submission, applicants have to appear for a written test. The exact schedule, time, and location of the test centre will be communicated through registered e-mail id or through other source. The written test will be conducted in offline mode and questions related to biology (zoology and botany), physics and chemistry have to be answered in 1 hour 30 minutes.

Candidates who pass the exam with the required score (minimum qualifying marks or cutoff marks) will be called for further admission procedure. Cutoff marks will be set and candidate's score in the exam has to be equal to the set cutoff marks or above it. Candidates can compare their score with the set cutoff marks,  If they find their score to be either equal or greater than cutoff, they can take part in the counselling process.
