About FRI MSc

Forest Research Institute MSc Exam 2022 - Forest Research Institute (FRI) [Deemed to be University] located in Dehradun conducts Entrance Exam to admit individuals into MSc courses offered by it. The courses are M.Sc. Forestry, M.Sc. Wood Science & Technology, M.Sc. Environment Management, M.Sc. Cellulose & Paper Technology. The exam conducted to take in students into the above mentioned courses is popularly known as FRI MSc or FRI MSc EE. 

Candidates who wish to pursue postgraduate course (MSc) in above mentioned subjects can focus on this exam. 

The notification is released on the official website of FRI at appropriate time every year. The same is released even in the leading national news papers at the appropriate time every year. Candidates can submit applications after the notification is released. 

Candidates can visit the official website of FRI and download the application form and fill it and send it along with the required documents and send it to the address mentioned in the notification along with the documents and DD (Demand Draft) for the required amount. Candidates can visit the institution in person and obtain the application and fill it and send it along with required documents by post or courier.

Applicants can also submit application if online is available. Candidates can visit the official website and click the link for registration and create an account comprisiing username and password. Post creation of account, they can login with help of password and username obtained during the registration and start filling the form, they can upload the required documents, pay the registration fees and then submit the form.

Post application form submission, applicants have to appear for a written test. The exact schedule, time, and mode of the test will be communicated through registered e-mail id or through other source. The written test will be conducted in online mode and questions related to Basic Sciences including Social Science, Arithmetic and Quantitative abilities, Computational ability, Quantitative reasoning, Interpretation of Tables, Graphs, General Knowledge and Current Affairs and English Language have to be answered in three hours time.

Candidates who pass the exam with the required score (minimum qualifying marks or cutoff marks) will be called for further admission procedure. Cutoff marks will be set and candidate's score in the exam has to be equal to the set cutoff marks or above it. Candidates can compare their score with the set cutoff marks,  If they find their score to be either equal or greater than cutoff, they can take part in the counselling process.
