Eligibility criteria for GPAT 2022

Applicants targeting this exam must have passed graduation in pharmacy or its equivalent course from a recognised institution located in India. 

Even the applicants who are appearing for their final year of the qualifying exam or who have appeared and are waiting for the results of the final year exam can also apply.

However, they should have passed the exam and must produced required documents proving that by the time of counselling/admission process. Applicants must be a citizen of India and there is no age limit to apply for GPAT 2022. There is no age restriction for appearing in the national level entrance exam

Exam pattern for GPAT 2022

GPAT 2022 will be conducted by NTA as three hour entrance examination in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode to evaluate the candidates’ ability across various segments, for admission to the Masters (M.Pharma) program Courses. The total number of questions is 125 and total marks are 500. 

Every correct answer will get four marks and every wrongly answered question will lose 1 mark. The pattern is being provided below for the sake of the applicants:

Marking scheme

i) Each question carries 04 (four) marks.

ii) For each correct response, candidate will get 04 (four) marks.

iii) For each incorrect response, 01 (one) mark will be deducted from the total score.

iv) Un-answered/un-attempted will be given no marks.

v) To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option as correct option.

vi) However, after the process of Challenges of the Answer Key, in case there are multiple correct options or change in key, only those candidates who have attempted it correctly as per the revised Answer key will be awarded marks. 

vii) In case a Question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to all the candidates who have attempted it.
