The criteria of eligibility depends upon the type of the course the candidate is trying to apply through the exam. Eligibility condition is being mentioned below for the sake of the students in a tabular format below:

| Bachelors in Hospitality Management | Qualified plus-two exam |
| Diploma in Hotel & Hospitality Operation | Qualified in Higher Secondary Exam or Secondary Exam or Graduate in any stream |
The exam will be conducted in offline mode (pen and paper based test) and candidates have to answer questions related to English, Aptitude, General Knowledge & Current Affairs in two hours time. The total number of questions is 120 and 115 of them are in objective type and the remaining are in descriptive type. More information about the pattern is being provided below for the sake of the students:
