Educational qualification
Candidates have to ensure they are fulfilling all the eligiblility conditions before they venture ahead to apply for the exam. Educational qualification would depend on the type of the teachers post candidates are aspiring for through this exam. The details are provided below:

Point to remember
There will be a five percent relaxation with regards to pass percentage in qualifying exam for candidates from OBC/SC/ST categories.
Age limit
The applicants must be atleast 18 years of age at the minimum when applying for HPTET.
The exam pattern varies as per the teachers post the candidate are focused on. On a general note, the questions will be in multiple choice format and there will be no negative marking and every correct answer will fetch one mark. The questions to be answered are 150 and total marks are 150 and the duration to answer all the questions is 2 hours 30 minutes. The exam pattern is provided below for the sake of the candidates:
