About IMU CET 2022

Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test 2022 Indian Maritime University (IMU) conducts Common Entrance Test (CET) to provide admission into various graduate and postgraduate courses offered by it and its affiliated institutions located across India.

This is a national level exam conducted once a year and students who wish to study courses related marine engineering, ship management and sciences allied to it at graduate or postgradute level can aim for this exam.

The notification is released on the official website of IMU at appropriate time every year. Candidates can submit applications after the notification is released. Sources point out that the application submission for 2022 admissions began on 29 March 2022 and ended on  26 May 2022. The students willing to apply for this exam can do it at the next appropriate time. 

Candidates can visit the official website and click the link for registration and create an account comprisiing username and password. Post creation of account, they can login with help of password and username obtained during the registration and start filling the form, they can upload the required documents, pay the registration fees and then submit the form.

Post application form submission, applicants have to appear for a written test. The exact schedule, time, and location of the test centre will be communicated through registered e-mail id or through other source. The written test will be conducted in online mode and questions related to English, General Aptitude, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry have to be answered in two hours.

Candidates who pass the exam with the required score (minimum qualifying marks or cutoff marks) will be called for further admission procedure. Cutoff marks will be set and candidate's score in the exam has to be equal to the set cutoff marks or above it.

Candidates can compare their score with the set cutoff marks,  If they find their score to be either equal or greater than cutoff, they can take part in the counselling process. Information about the exam is provided below in a tabular format for the sake of the students:

IMU CET Application 2021

  • Candidates who aspire to appear in the IMU CET 2021 exam must apply online till August 21, 2021.
  • Only online mode of application will be available and no offline applications will be accepted.
  • While applying online candidates must keep their academic certificates/mark sheet ready with them for reference purpose.
  • The willing candidates can fill application form by following the steps mentioned below:
  1. Visit the official website of the IMU.
  2. Click on the link IMU CET 2021 application.
  3. The candidates must fill in their  academic and demographic details along with preference of the exam center.
  4. Pay the stipulated application fee. The fee deatils are tabled below:

Mode of Payment

  • The candidates have a choice of paying online using a credit card, debit card or internet banking.
  • If the candidate wishes to pay the application fees offline, he/she can do so by submiting a demand draft (DD) or by making a cash payment at the institute’s campus

 

IMU CET 2021 Exam Pattern

  • The exam will be held in online mode where with MCQ type questions asked.
  • Exam will be of 120 marks. For each correct answer candidates will be awarded with 1 marks and there will be no negative marking.
  • The exam tests the candidate aspiring for B.Tech and M.Tech program for their knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, GK, and aptitude.
  • Candidates aspiring for MBA admissions are tested for their proficiency in Quantitative, verbal, Data interpretation, and logical reasoning abilities.

 

IMU CET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

 

Age Limit

Candidates should be in between 17 years to 25 Years of age at the time of application.Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) & Schedule Tribe (ST) category will get a relaxation of 5 years.

Meeting the eligibility criteria of IMU CET is the priority. Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria should not apply. It is because the admission authority will not accept their application. The eligibility criteria vary from programme to programme. Check IMU CET 2020 eligibility criteria in the table below:

BBA (Logistics, Retailing and eCommerce)

Passed Class 12 (60% aggregate in any stream) or equivalent. Obtained 50% aggregate in English subject in Class 10 and Class 12.

Step 1: JEE Advanced 2023 Registration

  • Visit the official website of JEE Advanced 2023.
  • Enter JEE Main 2023 Roll Number and Password.

Step 2: Upload Documents

Documents required must be kept handy before filling the application form. Once the JEE Advanced application form is filled correctly, upload the required set of documents with the specifications.

  • Upload high quality scanned images of your latest photograph and signature in JPEG format.
  • The signature size should range from 1kb- 30kb.

JEE Advanced 2023 Eligbility Criteria

The candidates can check below the eligibility criteria to appear for JEE Advanced 2023:

Age limit: There is an age limit to appear for JEE Advanced 2023.

  • Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1995
  • Five years relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates, i.e., these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1990.

Qualifying JEE Main 2023: Candidates should be among the top 2,45,000 (including all categories) in Paper-1 of JEE Main 2023. The number of candidates that are selected from each of the categories is as follows:

JEE Advanced 2023 Counselling

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will be responsible for the counselling session of JEE Advanced qualified candidates. Registration has to be done and the candidates will have to select their choice of colleges and courses. Candidates will be allotted seats into the participating IITs according to their secured ranks, preferences and availability of seats.

The counselling for the JEE Advanced AAT 2023 qualified candidates will be conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The candidates will have to register through JoSAA where allotment will be done according to the candidate’s secured rank, preferences made and availability of seat.
