The criteria of eligibility is a pass in any degree at bachelors level from a recognised educational institution located across India. Even foreign candidates can also apply and eligibility criteria for them is also a pass in bachelors degree in any discipline.
Candidates from India must also pass national level management exams like CAT or XAT. Applicants from foreign shores have to pass GRE or GMAT. More information is provided below for the sake of the candidates. Candidates have to ensure they are fulfilling all the eligibility conditions before they go for applying. Indian candidates
Candidate applying for PGDRM programme must be a graduate in any discipline from a university that is a state or centrally recognised. Candidates must have scored at least 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA. This aggregate is 45% for SC/ ST/ DAP. Candidates must have scored 85 percentile or above in CAT or XAT.
Foreign candidates
Applicants from other countries must be a graduate in any stream with at least 50% aggregate or equivalent from a recognised university. They should appear in GMAT/GRE and have a score that meets the minimum cut off criteria set by IRMA.
Point to remember
Applicants from foreign shores need not appear in IRMASAT, but they will have to take part in Group Activity and Personal Interview round. Indian candidates who have scored 85 percentile or above in CAT or XAT will be eligible for getting shortlisted for Merit-based Calls.
Applicants who have scored 80 percentile or above in CAT or XAT will be eligible for getting shortlisted under the category of Profile-based Calls.
The exam is conducted in online format and questions related to Indian Rural Affairs, Indian Economy, Environmental Issues have to be answered in 1 hour 20 minutes. The format of questions is multiple choice and every correct reply gets 1 mark and a wrong answer will take away 0.25 marks. The exam IRMASAT is also said to be conducted in remote proctored mode where the candidates can take the test from their home also. The exam is also said to be conducted in online format from IRMA campus where candidates can visit the institution on the designated date and time and take the test.
