Educational qualification/Pass Marks
The applicants should have passed the Class 12 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects from a recognized educational institution. The pass marks at the minimum must be 50% for candidates from General category and the same is 40% for candidates from reserved category.
Candidates who are going to appear in the Class 12 examination in 2022 can also apply for the JKCET. However, they have to pass the exam and produce a proof for it by the time of admission.
Domicile/Age limit
Candidates should be permanent residents of Jammu & Kashmir as defined in section 6 of the Constitution of the Jammu & Kashmir State. Candidates should have completed 17 years.
The exam is conducted in offline mode (pen and paper based) where candidates have to mark their answers on a sheet provided separately. A total of 180 questions have to be answerd in 3 hours and format of questions will be multiple choice where each question will have more than one reply and the right one has to be chosen to get the mark.
