JNUET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

For B.A (Hons.) 1st year:
  • Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 Intermediate or its equivalent examination from any recognized board.
  • Percentage: Candidates must have scored at least 45% marks in the qualifying exam to be eligible for the examination.
  • Appearing: Candidates appearing in their final examination in year 2022 are also eligible to apply for JNU.
For MCA:
  • Qualification: Candidates must have bachelor’s degree in BCA or its equivalent.
  • Subject: Applying candidates should have Mathematics as their mandatory subject to be eligible.
  • Percentage: Candidates must have scored at least 55% marks in the qualifying examination.
For MA Programme:
  • Qualification: Applying candidates must be Bachelor’s degree holder in any stream.
  • Percentage: Candidates will require at least 55% marks in the qualifying exam to eligible for admission.
For M.Tech. (Statistical Computing):
  • Qualification: Candidates must have Bachelor’s or Master degree in required stream to be eligible for admission.
  • Subject: Candidates must have master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, operational research or in any other science branch.
  • Percentage: Applying candidates must have secured at least 55% marks in the qualifying exam.

JNU exam pattern is different for different exams. Candidates are mainly advised to check the complete exam pattern of the exam they are appearing for. So, it will allow them to understand the structure of the exam, number of sections in the test, types of questions, subjects/sub-topics/syllabus of the exam, etc.

The exams will also have only multiple choice questions in online mode. So, negative marking will also depend on the subject for which the exam is being conducted.

  • 20% questions will be from General aptitude and reasoning
M.Sc
  • Objective type questions
  • Part 1 includes questions from Mathematics and Science of 10+2 level
  • Part 2 includes questions from Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology and Geology of B.Sc level
M.A
  • Subjective type questions
  • Part 1 will have short answer type of questions
  • Part 2 will have essay type questions
B.A (Hons)-Foreign Language
  • Questions will come from General English, General Knowledge and basic knowledge on the culture of the foreign language.
  • The paper will be set in respective foreign language.
M.Tech/Ph.D
  • Multiple choice questions
  • Questions will come from graduate or postgraduate level of Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science
