JEE Main 2026

Joint Entrance Exam Main 2026 Online

Exam Cutoff for JEE Mains 2026

There are two types of cutoff here when it comes to JEE Mains: Qualifying Cutoff and Admission Cutoff. There is a difference between these two. Qualifying cutoff is for students willing to get qualified for writing JEE Advanced, and Admission Cutoff will be for those who wish to seek admission in NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and GFTIs.

The admission cutoff will be the opening and closing ranks of each participating institute, which will be released by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority).

The cutoff score is the minimum qualifying mark that candidates have to get in the exam to become eligible for the next stage of the admission process. To be eligible for JEE Advanced 2026, candidates must secure more than or equal to the category-wise cutoff of JEE Main 2026.

Candidates whose scores are on par with the JEE Main qualifying cutoffs will be able to appear in JEE Advanced, which is the exam for admission to IITs in India. Candidates must secure a minimum rank, which is also known as a closing rank, for admission to JEE Main participating institutes.

Admission cutoffs for all the participating institutes will also be released after each round of JoSAA counselling. The expected cutoff marks are being provided below for the sake of the students:
