KVPY 2022 Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISC Bangalore) conducts Kishore Vaigyanik Protshahan Yojana (KVPY) exam to offer scholarships to students who are studying 11th standard to first year undergraduate students in basic sciences. The objective behind the programme is to help students pursue higher education and research in basic sciences in particular.
This is a national level exam conducted every year with the support of Department of Science and Technology of Government of India. The advertisement for the KVPY Fellowship appears in all the national dailies normally on the Technology Day (May 11) and the Second Sunday of July every year. Students can apply soon after the notification is released.
The scholarship is available in three streams - Stream SX, Stream SA and Stream SB. Candidates can apply for scholarship under any of these streams provided they have the required eligibility conditions.
The applications can be submitted in online mode and applicants have to appear for an aptitude test where they have to answer questions in multiple choice format and pass it with required score. Individuals passing the aptitude test with required score can attend interview process. Final selection is done based on the performance in the aptitude test and interview.
