The condition of eligibility depends upon the course the candidate wishes to apply through this exam. The institution offers graduate and postgraduate courses across various streams. The conditions of eligibility for applying for various courses in the university is mentioned below for the sake of the candidates:

| Integrated LLB (Hons), Integrated MA (Hons) English, Integrated M.Com. (Hons) under SFS, Integrated M.Sc Mathematics (Hons), Integrated Masters of Fine Arts (Painting) | Candidates should have passed 12th with 45% marks. |
| Integrated MBA, Integrated MA Economics (Hons), Integrated MA (Hons) Public Administration | Candidates should have passed 12th with 45% marks. |
| BA (General) | Candidate should have passed 12th with 33% marks |
| B.Com (General) | Candidate should have passed 12th with 40% marks |
| B.Sc (Home Science, Human Nutrition & Dietetics) | Candidates should have passed 12th with 45% marks. |
| B.Sc (Sports Science) | Candidates should have passed 12th from a recognized board, with Physical Education as a subject. The candidate should have represented their school at the district level. |
| BA (Hons), B.Com (Hons), B.Sc (Hons), BSW (Social Work), BCA, BBA, BJMC | Candidates should have passed 12th with at least 45% marks. |
| M.Sc | The candidates should have passed their Bachelor's degree of 3 years duration with at least 50% of marks. |
| M.Pharm | The candidates should have passed B.Pharm with a minimum of 50% marks. |
| M.Com | The candidates should have passed B.Com (Hons), BBA or BA with Economics, Commerce, Marketing, Insurance with 45% marks. |
| M.Ed | The candidates should have passed B.Ed with 50% marks. |
| MHM & CT | The candidates should have obtained their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 45% marks. |
| MTTM | The candidate should have passed Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks. |
| MCA (Lateral Entry) | The candidates should have passed Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks. |
| MPED | The candidate should have a BPED or B.Sc. Physical Education, Health & Sports with minimum 55% marks. |
| LLB | The candidates should have passed Bachelor's/Master’s with a minimum of 45% marks |
| LLM | Candidates should have passed LLB with 50% marks |
| MBA (Hons) | Candidates should have attained their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks. |
| MCA | Candidates should have attained their Bachelor's or Master’s degree with at least 45% marks. |
| M.Tech | Candidates should have passed B.E./B.Tech with at least 50% marks. |
The duration to answer questions is 1 hour 30 minutes and the test will be in offline mode. The correct answer will get 1 mark and every wrong answer will lose 1/4 mark. The information about the exam pattern is being provided in a tabular format for the sakes of the students:
