The entrance exam allows candidates to seek admission into graduate engineering course in both ways - regular and lateral. The eligibility required to apply under both the schemes are different. Information in detail is provided below with regards to eligibility criteria for the sake of the students:
Lateral Entry
The applicants who wish to apply under lateral entry must have passed 3 year diploma in engineering in relevant branch with a minimum of 60% (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST candidates)marks may apply for lateral entry. Those appearing in the final semester examination in 2022 may also appear in MZUEEE. However, they have to pass the exam and provide proof for it by the time of admission.
Regular Entry
A candidate who has passed the higher secondary or 10+2 (Class XII) Examination or its equivalent from any recognized board having secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST candidates) shall be eligible for admission in B.Tech. Those appearing in the higher secondary or 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination may also appear in MZUEEE. However, they have to pass the exam and provide proof for it by the time of admission.
Date of Birth
Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1997 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PWD candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1992 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate only will be taken as authentic.
The exam will be conducted in online and offline modes, candidates can choose either one of them to take part in the exam as per their convenience. Online mode is where the questions will be answered on a computer and offline mode is where answers will be registered on a separate answer sheet.
