There will be no counselling for this exam, as it is not conducted to provide admission to colleges. This test is meant to provide jobs in the Indian armed forces. Candidates must pass the written exam with the minimum qualifying marks, also known as the cutoff marks.
The cutoff score is the minimum qualifying mark candidates must achieve to be eligible for the next stage of recruitment or final selection. There are two types of cutoffs here, while one is the cutoff for the written exam, the other is the final cutoff. The cutoff for the written test will be declared along with the release of the results, which are NDA & NA.
The final cutoff will be decided after the SSB Interview is completed or while it is in progress. The candidates' scores in the exam and interview must be greater than or equal to the cutoff score. Candidates have to compare their score with the cutoff; if they find it either above the cutoff or equal to it, they are eligible for the next phase or final selection.]
Candidates who pass NDA & NA with the required qualifying marks have to register for the SSB Interview with one or more services of the armed forces. The registration schedule for SSB Interviews will be announced after the results of the NDA & NA exams are released.
Those who have passed the NDA & NA must register on the websites of the Army, Navy, and Air Force for the SSB Interview separately. The time and venue for the interview will be informed to the candidates. Physical Fitness, Psychological Fitness, and Medical Fitness are assessed during the interview, and candidates are ultimately selected.
