The condition of eligibility for both Indian nationals and foreign nationals are provided here for the sake of the applicants.
Applicants must ensure they are fulfilling all the eligibility criteria for NEET MDS 2022 before they venture ahead to apply for the exam. Ensuring the fulfilling of the set eligibility conditions would bring down the chances of rejection at a later stage. The eligibility specifications are being provided for the sake of the applicants:
A candidate for admission to the Master in Dental Surgery course, must possess a recognised degree of Bachelor in Dental Surgery awarded by a university or institute in India.
The applicants must also be registered with the State Dental Council and has obtained provisional or permanent registration and has undergone compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an approved/recognised dental college.
Even candidates who are undergoing 12-month compulsory rotatory internship/practical training and is likely to complete the same by 31 March 2022 can take up this examination. But, he/she shall be eligible for admission unless he/she has completed the compulsory rotatory
internship and obtained provisional or permanent registration on or before 31 March 2022.
Foreign nationals can apply for NEET MDS 2022 can avail temporary registration from Dental Council of India on a payment of certain amount of money. This registration will be limited to the institution where the candidates will be taking up postgraduate studies.
Candidates from foreign countries will be provided registration on the condition that such person is duly registered as medical practitioner in his/her own country from which he/she has obtained his/her basics dental qualification and that his/her degree is recognized by the corresponding state dental council or concerned authority.
Candidates have to know the exam pattern for NEET MDS 2022 if they are to prepare a sound study schedule. The knowledge of the exam pattern will provide students with lot of information like duration of the exam, no. of questions, types of questions, distribution of marks in each section, total no. of marks, duration to be allotted for every question. All these would help form a very good study plan.
NEET-MDS 2022 shall be conducted in a single day & single session as a computer based examination.
The examination shall be a multiple choice questions test delivered using computers network (CBT) as per scheme prescribed.
The exam comprises of 240 Multiple Choices, single correct response questions in English language only. Time allotted is 3 hrs.
There shall be 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions. Every correct answer will get 4 marks.
During the examination candidates are given an option to mark any question, whether attempted or not, for review which means that candidate has been given an option to go through these questions again before the examination time ends.
The questions are distributed in Part A and Part B in the exam. Part A will have 100 questions and Part B will have 140 questions. The information is provided in the tabular format below:
