Exam cutoff for NTSE 2022

Announcement regarding the cutoff in connection with the test will likely be made after the results of the exam are released. Sometimes cutoff marks are either released shortly before the result or after the release of the result. Stage 1 cutoff will be announced by various states as it is a state level process, cutoff for Stage 2 will be released by NCERT. The information can be obtained on the website of the respective state authorities and NCERT. The minimum passing marks required for the candidates of various categories is being provided below:

General/OBC 40%
SC/ST/EWS/PwD 35%

The cutoff marks for the test are the marks that candidates have to score in the test to become eligible for getting a seat in the institution. Students have to score marks either equal to set cutoff marks or above it. Cut off marks are decided taking into account factors that are given below:

The number of candidates who appeared in the exam, Number of seats for allotment, Reservation Norms, Previous year Admission trend, Last year cut off and The difficulty level of the exam
