Eligibility criteria for RRB Recruitment 2022

The eligibility condition depends on the type of the vacancies the candidates are trying to apply. For general vacancies, applicants must have a degree in any discipline from a recognised institution. The aspirants for technical vacancies must have degree/diploma in the respective technical field.

The applicants must be in the age group of 18 to 30 years, however, applicants of certain categories may get relaxation and details can be obtained from the official notification which would be released at the appropriate time. More information is provided below with regards to eligibility criteria for the sake of the candidates:

• A valid degree or equivalent from a recognized board is required to appear for the RRB NTPC exam
• To be eligible for RRB ALP, candidates must have passed Matriculation or SSLC qualification with any ITI specialization from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT, or Matriculation / SSLC with Course Completed Act Apprenticeship, or 3 years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering
• For RRB JE, candidates must have passed 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering/Mechanical/ Production/ Automobile / Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering/ Control/ Tools & Machining/ Tools & Die Making/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering, or B.Sc in Civil Engineering from a recognized board
• For Group D posts, one needs to have either passed the 10th standard examination or ITI qualification or its equivalent.

Exam pattern for RRB Recruitment Exam 2022

The exam pattern would depend upon the vacancy the applicant is targeting. Candidates who have applied for non technical posts have to answer questions related to general aptitude, general knowledge, current affiars. Individuals who have applied for technical posts have to attempt questions related to general science along with that of general knowledge and general aptitude. 

The exams would be held in online mode and would be conducted in stages. The questions would be in objective type. The time duration usually ranges from 1 hour to 3 hours. Duration of the test is different for each test. More details are provided below for the sake of the candidates:
