The eligibility condition to apply for the exam is a pass in 10th class exam from a recognised educational institution. The candidates must be Indian citizens and domicile of Rajasthan. More information is available in the table below and students who wish to know more can refer it:

| Educational Qualification | Students must have completed their class 10 or its equivalent education from any recognized board. Candidates must have Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects and should secure a minimum aggregate of 35% marks to be eligible for polytechnic courses. |
Rajasthan Polytechnic is an admission procedure conduted by Department of Technical Education (DTE) of Rajasthan based on the performace in class 10 exams and not based on an entrance test. There is no entrance test conducted, so there is no syllabus that students have to study.
Candidates who apply will be selected based on the performance in the qualifying exam and the list of students who are allotted seats will be displayed on the official website of DTE.
