Candidates who wish to apply for this process have to pass graduation in the relevant discipline from a recognised educational institution. The applicants must be citizens of India and preferably be natives of Rajasthan. Candidates who have studied MSc or MCA can also apply for the process.
However, they have to pass GATE exam and attach the score card while applying for RTU CAM. More information is provided in the tabular format for the sake of the students below:

M.Tech |
Candidates should have passed B.E./B.Tech from RTU or any other recognized University. Also, candidates who have obtained qualifications through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by MHRD/ UGC/ AIU/ UPSC/ AICTE. |

M.Sc., MCA degree candidates |
Candidates should have a valid GATE score with relevant subject. The equivalence of any degree for admission to any programme will be decided by the University. |

Qualifying Marks |
Candidates should have obtained at least 55% marks (6.25 CGPA on 10 point scale and equivalent) in qualifying exam. There is a relaxation of 5% for SC/ST category with a minimum of 50% marks) |

M.Arch |
For admission to M. Arch/M. Plan programmes, candidates should have passed B.Arch or equivalent with a minimum of 50% (5.75 CGPA on 10 point scale and equivalent) and 45% (5.25 CGPA on 10 point scale and equivalent) in case of SC/ST. |
There is no exam in this admission process for candidates who have studied BTech or BArch or BE can take part in the counselling process directly at the scheduled time and date. However, applicants who have passed MSc or MCA have to pass GATE exam for applying to RTU CAM. These candidates can follow the schedule, syllabus, preparation tips and exam pattern associated with GATE.
