Educational qualifications
Assistant Locopilots
Candidates who have completed their SSLC/Matriculation along with any apprentice course or a diploma in engineering are eligible for the post.
Technicians
Candidates who have completed their matriculation/SSLC along with an apprentice course/ITI are eligible for the exam. Even candidates who have passed 10+2 mark sheet with Physics and Maths as the main subject is also can apply. Candidates with a diploma in engineering are also eligible for the post.
The exam will have two phases - Stage 1 and Stage 2. The duration to answer questions in Stage 1 is one hour and the same for Stage 2 is 150 minutes. Stage 2 is divided into two parts - Part 1 and Part 2. Both these would be held in online mode. Only the candidates who apply for Assistant Loco Pilot post have to appear for Stage 3 which involves Computer Based Aptitude Test after clearing Stage 1 and Stage 2. The pattern is mentioned below in the tabular format for the sake of the candidates:

Candidates who have applied for ALP and cleared Stage 1 and 2 will take this exam and details would be available to the candidates at the appropriate time.
