About SRMCAT 2026

SRM Common Admission Test 2026 SRM University, also known as SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), conducts the Common Admission Test (CAT) to provide admission into the Master's in Business Administration course. The exam is popularly known as SRMCAT or SRM management exam, or SRM MBA exam. Students who wish to pursue a Master's in Business Administration course can aim for this exam.

This is a national-level exam conducted by the institute, and the notification is released on the official website of SRM at an appropriate time each year. Candidates can submit applications after the notification is released. 

Candidates can visit the official website and click the link for registration and create an account comprising a username and a password. Post creation of account, they can log in with the help of the password and username obtained during the registration and start filling the form, they can upload the required documents, pay the registration fees and then submit the form.

Post application form submission, applicants have to appear for a written test. The exact schedule, time, and mode of the test will be communicated through the registered email ID or through another source. The written test will be conducted in online mode, and questions related to Data Interpretation, Quantitative Ability, Reasoning, English Language, and General Awareness/Current Affairs have to be answered in two hours.

Candidates who pass the exam with the required score (minimum qualifying marks or cutoff marks) will be called for further admission procedure. Cutoff marks will be set, and a candidate's score in the exam must be equal to the set cutoff marks.

Candidates can compare their scores with the set cutoff marks. If they find their score to be either equal to or greater than the cutoff, they can take part in the counselling process. Information about the exam is provided below in a tabular format for the sake of the students:
