Eligibility criteria for SRM JEEM 2026

Educational qualification/Pass Marks

Applicants must have a bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any stream from any government/government-recognised private institutions located across India. They have to secure a minimum of  60 per cent aggregate marks or 3 out of 5 CGPA or 6 out of 10 CGPA in the qualifying degree exams.

Candidates appearing for their final year exams of graduation or post-graduation are also eligible to apply. They should pass their degree exams and provide proof of it by the time of admission.

Age limit

There is no age limit to apply for SRMJEEM.

Exam pattern for SRM JEEM 2026

The duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes or 150 minutes, and the questions will be in multiple-choice format, where each question has more than one reply and the right one has to be chosen to get the marks. The test will be conducted in online, remote proctored mode, which means candidates can take the test even from their homes.

Every correct answer will get three marks, and there is no negative marking, which means a wrongly answered question will not lose marks. More information is provided below for the sake of students:

The test is conducted in remote proctored mode, which means candidates can take the test even from the comfort of their homes. Candidates taking the test from their homes have to ensure they have a computer with the required configuration and good net connectivity. Individuals who wish to take the test from their homes must ensure they have all the following requirements:

• Computer - Pentium IV/Dual Core, 1GB RAM or higher, 80 GB HDD or higher, 15” colour Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Microsoft Windows 10 and above, Antivirus, Webcam and microphone.
• A stable internet connection of at least 512 KBPS (1MBPS is preferred) shall be available throughout the test.
• Candidates can also use a mobile phone to take the exam.
• Mobile Hotspot with sufficient data balance, in case candidates wish to use mobile data for taking the test.
