Ophthalmology Course 2023 Courses taught in Ophthalmology entail the study of medicine which deals with the anatomy, physiology and diseases of the eyeball. Budding ophthalmologists are introduced to all kinds of medical and surgical eye problems and how to perform operations on eyes.
Coursework covers the entire spectrum of eye care, including the prescription of glasses and contact lenses, medical treatment and complex microsurgery. Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) is a 5.5-year programme.
Furthermore, ophthalmologists in training are introduced to various facets of the eye such as corneal, glaucoma, retina, uvea, optic nerves and visual pathway.
