Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT 2026) Online

BITSAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for BITSAT 2026, candidates must fulfil the following criteria:
 
  • Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Class 12 examination from a recognised Central or State board or its equivalent.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology subjects in Class 12.
  • Individual Subject Marks: Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in each of the subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology individually.
  • Year of Appearance: Only students appearing for the Class 12 examination in 2026 or who have passed Class 12 in 2025 are eligible to apply.
  • English Proficiency: Candidates should have adequate proficiency in English to be able to pursue the program.

Important: Candidates who are currently studying in Class 12 or have passed Class 12 are eligible. However, admission will be subject to meeting the minimum marks requirement.

BITSAT 2026 Exam Pattern

BITSAT is a computer-based test (CBT) with the following structure:

  • Exam Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes)
  • Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Marking Scheme: +3 marks for each correct answer, -1 mark for each incorrect answer
  • No Negative Marking: For English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning sections
  • Optional Questions: Candidates can attempt 12 additional questions if they complete the test early
