CEETA PG 2023 Information

Anna University in Chennai conducts CEETA PG which is expanded into Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admissions Post Graduate. Students who wish to gain admission into postgraduate engineering, architecture, and planning courses in various educational institutions in Tamil Nadu have to take this exam. 

The postgraduate courses in engineering, architecture, and planning are popularly known as ME/MTech, MArch and MPlan respectively. Students who wish to gain admission in these courses in educational institutions located across Tamil Nadu had to write TANCET - Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test till last year along with those seeking admission in MBA and MCA courses. 

However, this year (2023), CEETA PG is introduced and students seeking admission into ME/MTech, MArch and MPlan have to appear for CEETA PG instead of TANCET. Students seeking admission into MBA and MCA in colleges located across Tamil Nadu will appear for TANCET as usual.

The application process for CEETA PG has commenced from 1 February 2023 for 2023 and the last date to submit applications is 22 February 2023. CEETA PG will be conducted on 26 March 2023 and hall tickets for the exam will be available for download on the official website of the exam from 11 March 2023 onwards.

Candidates who have passed graduation in the relevant discipline can register for the exam. The process to apply is online, individuals willing to submit applications can visit the official website and click the link for registration and provide the required details and create a user account.

Post account creation, candidates can log in and fill out the application form and pay the registration fees and submit it. Candidates have to appear for the test which will be conducted in offline mode for a duration of two hours or 120 minutes. The questions in the test will be related to the graduate lessons of the subject in which the candidate desires to pursue postgraduation.

Candidates have to pass the written test with the minimum qualifying marks which is also known as cutoff marks. Score of the applicants in test must either be greater than cutoff marks or equal to it to be eligible for next phase of the admission process which comprises either counselling or interview and document verification. Students who are provided with the seat can convey their acceptance and pay the fees and join the course. More information is provided in tabular format for the sake of the students below:
