The condition of eligibility depends on the type of the course the candidate is trying to apply through the test. Candidates take this exam would offer seat in graduate and postgraduate seats. The criteria of eligibility is different for applying both the courses. More information is provided below for the sake of the students:
Nationality/Age Limit
Candidate must be a citizen of India and must preferably be a domicile of West Bengal. They must at least be of 17 years of age.
Educational Qualifications
MCA
Candidate must have passed a bachelors degree expect BBA with Mathematics at 10+2. They must have secured 50% marks. Candidates in final year of qualifyig examination can also apply. Students who are appearing for their final year exams or have appeared and are waiting for the results can also apply. However, they should have passed the exam and produce proof for it by the time of admission.
MBA
Candidate must have graduation Degree from a recognised educational institution in any discipline. Students who are appearing for their final year exams or have appeared and are waiting for the results can also apply. However, they should have passed the exam and produce proof for it by the time of admission.
M.Tech
Candidate must have B.Tech degree in the relevant field from a recognised educational institution. For example, students who wish to study MTech Mechanical Engineering must have BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
BTech
Students must have passed the 10+2 Examination from a recognized Council/Board. They should have secured individual pass marks in Physics and Mathematics along with any one of these subjects - Chemistry/Biotechnology/ Biology/Computer Science/Computer Application as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory & practical wherever applicable) in regular mode. They should have secured a minimum of 45% marks in the subjects mentioned above taken together. They should also have passed in their English subject in 10+2 with a minimum of 30% marks.
BPharmacy/MPharmacy
Applicants for BPharmacy should have passed plus-two exam with biology, physics and chemistry as subjects. Applicants for MPharmacy must have studied BPharmacy.
The test is conducted offline as a pen and paper based test and candidates taking the exam have to record the answers on a separate answer sheet that would be provided at the exam hall. The questions are maths, physics and chemistry if the admission sought through this test is undergraduate engineering.
Students oriented towards biology or biotechnology oriented courses have to answer questions related to biology instead of maths along with physics and chemistry. Those focused on postgraduation courses have to answer questions from graduate level lessons of the subject in which the candidate wants to study postgraduation.
