Eligibility criteria for GUJCET 2023

Educational Qualification

Applicants must have passed plus-two in science stream from a recognised institution. Even those who are appearing for the final year exams or have appeared for the final year exams of plus-two can also apply. However, they should have passed the exam and required certificates must be produced by the time of admission. 

Candidates who are aiming for engineering have to pass plus-two with maths, physics and chemistry as subjects, those aiming for pharmacy at undergraduate level must pass plus-two with biology, physics and chemistry as subjects. Candidates should have secured 45% if they are from General Category and 40% if they are from reserved category.

Age limit

Students willing to apply for GUJCET must be not less than 17 years in age. The applicants must ensure they are fulfilling all the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam.

Exam pattern for GUJCET 2023

The exam has two parts and is conducted in offline mode as a pen and paper based test. Paper 1 has two sections, Physics and Chemistry and Paper 2 has Maths and Biology. Candidates aiming for engineering course have to choose Maths in Paper 2 and those who are aiming for pharmacy courses have to choose Biology in Paper 2 instead of Maths.

The exam will be conducted for a duration of three hours. More information is provided below in a tabular format for the sake of the students:
