About JNU CEEB 2022

Jawaharlal Nehru University Combined Entrance Exam for Biotechnology National Testing Agency (NTA) of Government of India will conduct GAT-B/BET (Graduate Aptitude Test - Biotechnology/Biotechnology Eligibility Test) to provide admission into postgraduate courses - MTech Biotechnology/allied sciences, MSc Biotechnology and MSc Agriculture Biotechnology in colleges located across India.

Candidates who wish to study courses related to biotechnology and allied sciences at postgraduation level must prepare for this exam which is a national level test held once a year. Students who wish to seek admission into the same programmes in JNU also have to appear for GAT-B/BET instead of JNU CEEB (JNU Combined Entrance Examination for Biotechnology).

The notification is released on the official website of BIT at appropriate time every year. Candidates can submit applications after the notification is released. The application submission for GAT-B/BET went on from 11 March 2022 to 31 March 2022 for the year 2022.

The exam was conducted on 23 April 2022. Students wishing to appear for GAT-B/BET can apply during the next appropriate time.

Candidates can visit the official website and click the link for registration and create an account comprisiing username and password. Post creation of account, they can login with help of password and username obtained during the registration and start filling the form, they can upload the required documents, pay the registration fees and then submit the form.

Post application form submission, applicants have to appear for a written test. The exact schedule, time, and location of the test centre will be communicated through registered e-mail id or through other source. The written test will be conducted in online mode and questions related to graduate level lessons of biotechnology and allied subjects have to be answered in 3 hours.

Candidates who pass the exam with the required score (minimum qualifying marks or cutoff marks) will be called for further admission procedure. Cutoff marks will be set and candidate's score in the exam has to be equal to the set cutoff marks or above it.

Candidates can compare their score with the set cutoff marks,  If they find their score to be either equal or greater than cutoff, they can take part in the counselling process. Information about the exam is provided below in a tabular format for the sake of the students:
