The eligibility to apply for Karnataka PGCET 2022 will depend on the type of the course the candidate wishes to apply through the exam. A pass in bachelors degree in the relevant discipline is required to apply for the exam. More information is available in the tabular format below and students can refer that:
| General Ability Criteria |
Candidates should have completed B.Tech course from an institute recognized by the state of Karnataka with a minimum aggregate of 50% in the qualifying degree. However, reserved category candidates are given relaxation of 5%. Candidates with valid GATE scores can also apply. |
| Eligibility for Government Seats |
Candidates should have studied and passed in one or more Government/ Government recognized educational institute located in Karnataka for at least 7 years either periodically or continuously from Class 1 to qualifying exam Candidates should have studied and passed the qualifying exam within Karnataka from institute/ university recognized/ run by the state government Either parent of candidates must have studied in Government recognized institutions in Karnataka for at least 7 years Candidate or a parent of the candidate resided in Karnataka for a period of 7 years or more |

The test will be conducted in offline mode and answers have to registered on a separate answer sheet in 150 minutes or 2 hours 30 minutes. The questions will depend on the course the candidate is applying through the exam. The subjects for questions will be related to graduate level lessons of the subject in which the candidate desires to pursue postgraduation. The total marks for the questions is 100.
