The schedule in connection with the counselling will be announced after the results are declared. The official website of the exam has to be referred to at the appropriate time for the results. Candidates who pass the exam with the required cutoff can take part in the counselling process.
The date, time and venue for the counselling procedure will be intimated on the official website of the exam.
Candidates may even receive the communication for counselling at their email addresses; they can keep visiting their email accounts regularly after the declaration of results. Individuals who pass the exam with the required cutoff score are eligible to take part in the counselling.
Eligible candidates have to register online to take part in the counselling. Registration procedure (online) is provided below for the sake of the students:
Online registration
1A. The online registration can be done by visiting the required website on a computer at the candidate's place of stay (if allowed) or at the designated centre. The information about this would be made available on the official website of the exam at the appropriate time.
1B. In online registration, candidates have to visit the required website and create an account comprising a username and password. Applicants have to provide details like their exam roll number, application number, date of birth, and exam centre during the registration procedure.
2. Post completion of registration and obtaining username and password, candidates have to log in using them and fill the application form indicating the college they wish to study the course of their choice and submit it. The application has to be submitted along with photocopies of the required documents if asked.
3. Candidates have to pay the fee (counselling fee) either during the registration process or before the commencement of the registration process.
Documents needed for the counselling
Candidates have to take certain documents with them while attending the counselling process. Candidates must have both photocopies and originals of the documents mentioned below, as both would be of use during the counselling process:
Post registration
The applications received are sorted out and analysed, and seats are sanctioned based on factors like availability of seats, candidate's choice of the course and college, candidate's performance in the written test, demand for the courses and seats, and existing reservation norms.
Individuals who are successful in getting a seat can appear for the document verification process and pay the fees as a token of acceptance of the seat offered. Post fee payment, the candidates can join the institution for classes as per the specifications.
Counselling will be conducted in one or more rounds as per the existing circumstances. Candidates who do not get a seat in the first round can take part in the subsequent rounds.
