Eligibility for NPAT 2022

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for the NPAT exam must have completed Class 12 or equivalent examination (inclusive of International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma in any stream). Candidates can submit an IB diploma only if it is awarded by a recognised board. IB certificate holders are not eligible for the test.

Candidates passing the 10+2 or equivalent examination from open or distance learning (ODL) are also eligible to apply for the exam. In this case, the school should be recognised by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). Applicants must have scored an aggregate of 60% in 10+2 or equivalent examination.

Point to remember

Candidates holding IB Diploma will be eligible only if he/she has Mathematics/ Statistics at the standard level. Candidates having cleared either CBSE/ ICSE board exam need to mention the aggregate marks of all the subjects of Class 10 or equivalent examination. The marks of best of four or five subjects will not be considered. Individuals who are more than 25 years  of age are not eligible to apply for the exam.

Exam pattern for NPAT 2022

The questions in the exam will be related to English Language, Quantitative & Numerical Ability, Reasoning & General Intelligence. There will be 120 questions that have to be answered in 120 minutes. Correctly answered questions would get 1 mark and wrongly answered questions will not lose any mark. More information is provided below for the sake of the candidates in a tabular format below:
