Candidates who have passed bachelors degree in the relevant discipline can apply for postgraduation. A pass in postgraduation in the relevant discipline is must to apply for PhD courses. More information is available below for the sake of the students:

Point to remember
Applicants who have passed national level exams like JEE Mains (UG Engineering), GATE (PG Engineering), CAT/CMAT (PG Management - MBA) are likely exempted from taking SET exam.
The exam is conducted in offline mode - pen and paper based test - candidates have to register their answers on a separate sheet in this way of conducting the test. The questions depend on the subject the candidate is trying to seek admission.
The test is conducted in 7 phases. SET I, SET IA, SET III, SET IV, and SET V, SET VI and SET VII. SET I and SET IA is for those who want to get admission into Integrated Certificate Diploma (ICD) and ICD through lateral entry.
SET III is meant for those who are about to keen on undergraduate engineering programme. Applicants wishing for MBA admission have to attempt SET IV. SET V test is for Ph.D admission aspirants and SET VI and VII are for M.Sc. and M.Tech aspirants. More information is provided below for the sake of students in a tabular format:
