About SLIET SET 2022

SLIET SET 2022 Sant Longowal Institute of Science & Technology (SLIET) located in Punjab conducts SLIET Entrance Test (SET) to offer admission into graduate, postgraduate, diploma and doctorate degrees. These degrees are offered in engineering, science, humanities and management.

This is an institutional level exam that is conducted once a year and is for the students who wish to do graduation or postgraduation in the subjects mentioned above. Students keen on doctorate also can focus on this exam.

The exam takes place in 7 phases - SET I, SET IA, SET III, SET IV, and SET V, SET VI and SET VII.  SET I and SET IA is for those who want to get admission into Integrated Certificate Diploma (ICD) and ICD through lateral entry. SET III is meant for those who are about to keen on undergraduate engineering programme. Applicants wishing for MBA admission have to attempt SET IV.  SET V test is for Ph.D admission aspirants  and SET VI and VII are for M.Sc. and M.Tech aspirants. 

The notification is released on the official website of the institution at appropriate time every year. Candidates can submit applications after the notification is released. The entrance exam application submission began on 04-Apr-2022 and candidates can visit the official website to submit applications till 31-May-2022.

Candidates can visit the official website and click the link for registration and create an account comprisiing username and password. Post creation of account, they can login with help of password and username obtained during the registration and start filling the form, they can upload the required documents, pay the registration fees and then submit the form.

Post application form submission, applicants have to appear for a written test. The exact schedule, time, and mode of the test will be communicated through registered e-mail id or through other source. The written test will be conducted in online mode and questions related to maths, physics, chemistry have to be answered if the course chosen through this exam is engineering. 

Admission into biology or biotechnology oriented courses at graduation level requires to answer questions related to biology instead of maths along with physics and chemistry. Postgraduate course applicants have to answer graduate level lesson related questions in the subject in which they wish to pursue postgraduation.

Doctorate course applicants have to answer questions related to the postgraduate level lessons in the subject in which they wish to pursue research. The time to answer questions is 2 hours 30 minutes.

Candidates who pass the exam with the required score (minimum qualifying marks or cutoff marks) will be called for further admission procedure. Cutoff marks will be set and candidate's score in the exam has to be equal to the set cutoff marks or above it.

Candidates can compare their score with the set cutoff marks,  If they find their score to be either equal or greater than cutoff, they can take part in the counselling process. Information about the exam is provided below in a tabular format for the sake of the students:
