Telangana State Polytechnic Common Entrance Test 2023 State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET) of Telangana conducts Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET) to provide admission into polytechnic courses in colleges located across Telangana.
This is a state level exam that is conducted once a year and is meant for candidates who wish to study various polytechnic courses.
The notification is released on the official website of SBTET at appropriate time every year. Candidates can submit applications after the notification is released. The application submission facility for this exam is currently open and students can submit applications at the official website. The registration process opened on 16-01-2023 and will go on till 24-04-2023 without payment of fine. Students can submit applications till 25-4-2023 with a late fee payment of Rs 100.
Candidates can visit the official website and click the link for registration and create an account comprisiing username and password. Post creation of account, they can login with help of password and username obtained during the registration and start filling the form, they can upload the required documents, pay the registration fees and then submit the form.
Post application form submission, applicants have to appear for a written test. The exact schedule, time, and location of the test centre will be communicated through registered e-mail id or through other source. The written test will be conducted in offline mode and questions related to physics, chemistry and mathematics have to be answered in 2 hours 30 minutes.
Candidates who pass the exam with the required score (minimum qualifying marks or cutoff marks) will be called for further admission procedure. Cutoff marks will be set and candidate's score in the exam has to be equal to the set cutoff marks or above it.
Candidates can compare their score with the set cutoff marks, If they find their score to be either equal or greater than cutoff, they can take part in the counselling process. Information about the exam is provided below in a tabular format for the sake of the students:
