University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Design Aptitude Test 2022 University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) conducts the online Design Aptitude Test (DAT) to provide admission into BDes (Bachelors in Design) and MDes (Masters in Design) offered by it.
The exam is an institutional level exam conducted once a year and the popular name for it is UPES DAT. Students who wish to pursue masters or bachelors in design in the institute can aim for this exam.
The notification is released on the official website of UPES at appropriate time every year. Candidates can submit applications after the notification is released. Candidates can visit the official website and click the link for registration and create an account comprisiing username and password.
Post creation of account, they can login with help of password and username obtained during the registration and start filling the form, they can upload the required documents, pay the registration fees and then submit the form.
There is a scope for offline submission of application forms also. Candidates can either approach the institution to procure the application form and fill it and submit it along with the required documents. Currently, the application submission facility is on for UPES DAT and applications can be submitted till 30 June, 2022.
Post application form submission, applicants have to appear for a written test. The exact schedule, time, and mode of the test will be communicated through registered e-mail id or through other source. The written test will be conducted in online mode and questions related to visual analogy, creativity, design aptitude, quantitative aptitude, english, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency, General Awareness, Analytical & Logical Reasoning, Design aesthetics have to be answered in 1 hour.
Candidates who pass the exam with the required score (minimum qualifying marks or cutoff marks) will be called for further admission procedure. Cutoff marks will be set and candidate's score in the exam has to be equal to the set cutoff marks or above it.
Candidates can compare their score with the set cutoff marks, If they find their score to be either equal or greater than cutoff, they can take part in the further admission procedure which comprises portfolio analysis round and interview rounds.
