Candidates have to pass the UPES DAT with the required score to take in the next phase of admission which includes portfolio presentation and interview. Required score is also known as cutoff marks which is nothing but the minimum qualifying marks the candidates have to achieve in the test.
The cutoff marks are declared along with the announcement of test (UPES DAT) results, candidates can compared their scores with cutoff marks.
The score of the candidates must be equal to the cutoff marks or greater that that. If the candidate's score is either equal to cutoff score or greater than that, they can take part in the further admission procedure. The schedule for the next phase of admission process will be informed to the candidates either through the official website of the exam or through email ids of the candidates.
Candidates can include their creative work (drawing/painting) on any particular subject in the portfolio profile. The medium for the painting can be either a pencil, colour markers or any other thing. They should be able to tell the panel about their innovative work during the portfolio examination.
Photography works, live models of either a building or a person or any other subject made using any medium can also be included in the portfolio work. Post portfolio presentation and analysis, the candidates will be interviewed where they have to answer questions related to the subject, creativity, art work, their motive behind the desire to study the course. Final list of selected candidates will be prepared based on performance in the exam, portfolio test, interview. The other factors on which the candidates will be allotted seats are availability of seats, candidates choice.
