Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions Test 2022 Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE) of Tamil Nadu conducts Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) every year to provide admissions to students into engineering and architecture courses at graduation level in colleges located across Tamil Nadu.
The process conducted by DOTE is popularly known as TNEA or TN Engineering Admissions. Students who have finished plus-two from a recognised institutions with maths, physics, chemistry as subjects can apply.
TNEA is a complete online process that includes Registration, Payments, Choice Filling, Allotment and Confirmation. The notification is released on the official website of TNEA at appropriate time every year. The time for release of the notification ideally is a few days after the release of plus-two results in Tamil Nadu. Candidates can submit applications after the notification is released.
Candidates can visit the official website and click the link for registration and create an account comprisiing username and password. Post creation of account, they can login with help of password and username obtained during the registration and start filling the form, they can upload the required documents, pay the registration fees and then submit the form.
Post submission of applications, they are analysed and the candidates whose applications are selected are called for further process which involves document verification, selection of the college and allotment of seat and conveying acceptance and payment of fees.
The selection of candidates for further process will take place based on the scores in 12th class exams. Candidates who are selected initially have to approach centres for document verification. Centres are located across Tamil Nadu and candidates can choose the centre nearest to them and then approach it with original documents and their photocopies for verification.
Post verification, candidates can take part in the process of choosing the colleges and conveying their acceptance and payment of fees. The process of choosing colleges (choice filling) will take place in more than one round. Candidates who do not get a seat of their choice can try in the subsequent rounds.

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will be responsible for the counselling session of JEE Advanced qualified candidates. Registration has to be done and the candidates will have to select their choice of colleges and courses.
