Candidates have to wait for the results of the entrance test which will be declared on the date decided by the authority conducting the exam. The results will be released on the official website of the exam and candidates have to visit the website and know their performance in the test. Students who have qualified the exam will get an opportunity to take part in the counselling. Qualifying the exam requires the candidates to pass with the required cutoff marks.
The cutoff marks are nothing but the minimum qualifying marks the candidates have to score in the test to either be eligible to move to the next stage of admission or to get selected for the course finally. The marks scored by the candidates must be either equal to the cutoff or greater than that. The cutoff score will be set by the authorities conducting the exam and will be announced either before the results are released or along with the release of the results. Sometimes cutoff marks are declared a short duration after result release.
Candidates have to compare their score in the exam with the cutoff marks, if the score is either equal to the cutoff or greater than that, they can take part in the counselling. Individuals who passed the exam with the required score can visit the designated website and download the call letter for attending the counselling process and also the date, time and location at which the counselling has to be attended.
Individuals who have qualified the written test will also likely receive the invitation to attend the counselling process and other related information on their email ids also. Those who have passed the written test with required marks can also start browsing their email ids also regularly after the results are declared. Applicants who should attend the counselling process must download the result copy and invitation to attend the counselling process from the designated website or from their respective email ids (if the details are sent to it).
The candidates should keep the required documents ready, they should have photocopies of the documents and also the originals. The documents to be kept ready are provided below:
$ UPESEAT Hallticket
$ UPESEAT Score card/Result card
$ 10th class marksheet
$ 12th class marksheet
$ Caste certificate (if applicable)
$ PwD certificate (if applicable)
$ Indentification cards like Aadhar Card/Voter Id/Pan Card
The documents and the fees (counselling fees) to be paid must be kept ready. Candidates who are invited for taking part in the counselling process must register. The registration can be done either online or offline. Certain institutions provide online registration facility, couple of others provide offline registration. There are educational institutions that provide the facility of registration in both the modes, depending upon the situation.
Students have to visit the designated counselling centre to take up registration, either online or offline, depending upon the situation. Sometimes, owing to certain situations, institutions may allow students to register online even before visiting the designated counselling centre. In that case, students can register either from their home or from a net browsing centre and pay the counselling fee and then attend the rest of the process at the designated counselling spot.
However, this would depend on the situation and candidates can visit the institution in person or its website to know if such a facility is being provided. If no such provision is available, candidates can follow the regular process.
Registration for the counselling can be done online or offline. Online registration is where candidates can register over a computer. Offline registration is where the candidates have to fill the phyiscal forms at the designated centre for counselling. If allowed, online registration can be done even before attending the counselling process at the centres allotted, however, offline registration has to be done at the counselling centre itself. The registration process (both online and offline) are provided below for the sake of the candidates:
