KLEEE (KL Engineering Entrance Examination) is the online entrance test that KL Deemed to be University (Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation) holds for B.Tech. admission at its Vijayawada and Hyderabad campuses. Eligibility Criteria
For B.Tech., candidates need a pass in Class 12 or equivalent with at least 60% in aggregate and 60% in the group subjects. Students with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics can apply for every B.Tech. programme, including Biotechnology. Students with Physics, Chemistry and Biology can apply for B.Tech. Biotechnology and B.Pharm.
- B.Arch.: Class 12 with more than 60%, plus a qualifying score in both KLEEE and NATA.
- B.Pharm.: Class 12 with 60% in aggregate and in PCM or PCB, plus a qualifying KLEEE score.
KL also admits B.Tech. students through JEE Main, JEE Advanced, state engineering entrance exams such as EAMCET, a Uni-GAUGE score, or merit in sports and cultural activities.

Exam Pattern
KLEEE is an online test of 180 minutes with 75 questions, 25 each in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. KL describes the level as that of JEE. The admissions page does not give the marks per question or say whether wrong answers lose marks.

Syllabus
KLEEE covers Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, at a level KL describes as that of JEE. KL has not published a chapter-wise KLEEE 2027 syllabus on its admissions page. It does publish a KLEEE model question paper (2023) to show the question style.

How to Apply for KLEEE 2027
- Register and fill in the online application at admissions.kluniversity.in. One form covers programmes at the Hyderabad and Vijayawada campuses.
- Upload the documents and pay the non-refundable application fee of Rs 1,000, online or offline.
- You can edit the form later, except for the email ID and mobile number.
- Download the admit card (2 to 6 December 2026 for Phase 1) and take the online test.
- KL publishes results online. Admission then follows with a personal interview, counselling, document verification and fee payment.

KL University B.Tech Admission With and Without KLEEE
KL admits B.Tech. students on any of these:
- A KLEEE score.
- JEE Main or JEE Advanced.
- A state engineering entrance exam, such as EAMCET.
- A Uni-GAUGE score.
- Merit in sports or cultural activities.
Admission is followed by a personal interview round. KL says it offers scholarships worth Rs 100 crore, given on entrance exam results such as KLEEE or JEE and on Class 12 marks. Hostel, mess and exam charges are separate from tuition.
