SBI Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) 2026-27

SBI Junior Associate (Clerk) recruitment is run by State Bank of India; its Preliminary was tentatively set for 26 and 27 September 2026. State Bank of India (SBI) recruits Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) in its clerical cadre, widely called SBI Clerk, through its Central Recruitment & Promotion Department (CRPD). Advertisement No. CRPD/CR/2026-27/17 invited applications from 11 to 31 August 2026 for 7,680 regular vacancies; applicants choose one State or UT. SBI's careers page shows the Preliminary call letter as available for download. The Main examination is tentatively in November 2026 and its date has not been announced.

Selection and vacancies

Merit lists are drawn State-wise and category-wise, and selected candidates are posted in the State they applied for. A candidate can appear for the test only once under this recruitment project. The language test is held after the Main and before joining; candidates whose Class 10 or Class 12 mark sheet or certificate shows that the language was studied are not required to take it. Besides category reservations, the advertisement earmarks 10% of vacancies for ex-servicemen and 4.5% for disabled ex-servicemen and dependants of servicemen killed in action. The vacancy table also lists backlog vacancies separately, and a special recruitment drive for SC/ST/OBC backlog vacancies (Advertisement No. CRPD/CR/SPLDRIVE/2026-27/16) had its Preliminary tentatively on 16 September 2026. SBI's careers page also posts pre-examination training materials for the cycle, and candidates are asked to keep a valid e-mail ID and mobile number active until results are declared, because call letters and advices are sent by e-mail and SMS.

1. Prepare scanned images of the photograph, signature, left thumb impression and hand-written declaration as specified in Annexure II of the advertisement.
2. Open the online application form under Recruitment of Junior Associates on SBI's careers page (sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings).
3. Fill in the form carefully; the data can be saved and completed later, and is then submitted.
4. Pay the fee through the payment gateway by debit card, credit card or internet banking.
5. Keep the e-receipt and the application form printout for records; the printout is not to be sent to SBI.

• Photograph: recent passport-style colour picture, 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm, file size 20 to 50 KB (200 x 230 pixels preferred); a photograph is also captured during the application.
• Signature, left thumb impression (right thumb if there is no left thumb) and hand-written declaration in the text and format given in the advertisement.
• A valid e-mail ID and mobile number, kept active until results are declared.
