Updated- 16 October 2026: No SRMUSET 2027 dates are published. The official site shows "Registration Open for Session 2026-27" and 2026 FAQs. If SRMU repeats the 2026 timing, forms would open in January or February 2027 (expected, not announced). See the timeline.
- 1 February 2026: The SRMU scholarship page says "Applications opening from 01 Feb 2026 for SRMUSET (Scholarship cum Entrance Test)" and promises "100% fee waivers to top scorers" and scholarships worth Rs 10 crore.
- 10 January 2026: The SRMUSET FAQ says "Forms for SRMU-SET will be available from 10th Jan 2026". The FAQ also says test centres are told to registered candidates by email or SMS.
The two 2026 dates differ (10 January on the FAQ, 1 February on the scholarship page); both are stated as printed.

Overview
SRMUSET is the Scholarship cum Entrance Test of Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University (SRMU), Lucknow-Deva Road, Barabanki. It is an online test for candidates of undergraduate, integrated and diploma programmes, taken at a university test centre on a date and time the candidate chooses. SRMU says the test is not mandatory for admission: it is an extra chance to earn a first-year scholarship of 8% to 100%. The official site still shows the 2026 session ("Registration Open for Session 2026-27"); no SRMUSET 2027 dates are published (16 October 2026).

Eligibility Criteria
SRMUSET is open to students of any stream who want to study an undergraduate, integrated or diploma programme at SRMU. The 2026 pages say students appearing in the Class 10 or Class 12 board examinations in 2026 can apply. For programme-wise qualifying marks, SRMU refers candidates to its Admission Eligibility Criteria 2026-27.

SRMU publishes no SRMUSET 2027 pattern. The sample papers on the test site are undated (some questions refer to 2021 events), so the table below is labelled as the sample-paper pattern, not as the 2027 pattern. SRMU has not stated the duration of the subject papers or the number of papers a candidate takes.

How to Apply for SRMUSET 2027
Candidates register online on the SRMU website and pay the registration fee; forms are also available offline. SRMU then emails or texts the test centre, and the candidate takes the online test on the chosen date and time.
- Register online at srmu.ac.in (Online Admission Form) by paying Rs 1,000; the candidate then gets a user name and password for the online registration form.
- After the online payment, download the prospectus and the scholarship application form.
- Select SRMUSET on the SRMU admission form. If the option was missed, call the toll-free number 1800-102-6004 (working days, 10 am to 6 pm).
- SRMU informs registered candidates by email or SMS about their test centre for the online examination.
- A candidate who misses the exam on the chosen date gets another opportunity at no extra cost; the date of the exam decides the phase and the scholarship that applies.
The fee is not refundable. The 2027 registration dates, test dates and test centres are not published yet. The 2026 FAQ said forms would be available from 10 January 2026.

SRMUSET Scholarship Slabs by Score
SRMUSET scholarships are given on the first year only. One scholarship scheme can be used by a student, scholarships are limited by seats, and SRMU may withdraw a scholarship for delayed or non-payment of fees. The page does not say which fee component the percentage applies to. There is no scholarship for LL.M. programmes.

SRMUSET and Admission at SRMU
SRMUSET is not a gate to admission. SRMU admits candidates on the qualifying-examination marks in its Eligibility Criteria 2026-27 (45% for General and OBC, 40% for SC and ST in most undergraduate programmes), with an online application and a registration fee of Rs 10,000 or more. The SRMUSET FAQ calls SRMUSET "another opportunity to get better scholarship amount" for candidates who also hold JEE, UPSEE or NATA scores.
