About This Scholarship

The Bharti Airtel Scholarship is a merit-cum-means-based scholarship launched in 2024 by the Bharti Airtel Foundation. It supports first-year students of undergraduate engineering and 5-year integrated technology courses at the top 50 NIRF-ranked engineering universities and institutes, with an emphasis on girl students. The eligible fields are electronics and communication, telecom, information technology, computer science, data science, aerospace and emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, AR/VR, machine learning and robotics. Recipients are called Bharti Scholars. The scholarship pays 100 percent of the annual tuition fee for the whole course, up to 5 years, subject to the renewal criteria, along with hostel and mess costs and a laptop. The Foundation reports 276 scholars in 2024-25 and 500 in 2025-26; no figure is published for 2026-27. Applications are not taken on the Foundation's own site: its scholarship page sends applicants to Buddy4Study, which hosts the application form.
