About This Scholarship
The Chhattisgarh Post Matric Scholarship Portal (e-Medha) runs three scholarships: Post Matric SC, Post Matric ST and Post Matric OBC, for students from Class 12 upward. The Tribal Development, Scheduled Caste Development, Backward Class and Minority Development Department operates it, and the Commissioner, Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development issues the yearly notice. It covers students studying in Chhattisgarh and students studying outside the state. Payment goes through PFMS to an active Aadhaar-seeded bank account, and for 2026-27 every applicant must hold an NSP One Time Registration (OTR).
The department's notice dated 15 June 2026 fixed the 2026-27 schedule. The portal opened on 20 June 2026 for renewal applications and on 1 August 2026 for new applications, and applications are accepted up to 30 December 2026 in four batches, with probable disbursement dates from 18 July 2026 to 18 January 2027 (see the table under Benefits). Institutions and district offices must finish examination and approval before each disbursement date so that all payment is complete by January 2027. New institutions must have their head (HoI) and scholarship in-charge (INO) biometrically authenticated.
The notice and the portal publish no amount table. The maintenance rates given here are those of the central Post Matric Scholarship scheme for Scheduled Tribe students (a centrally sponsored scheme) published by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs; the Chhattisgarh notice does not restate them.
