About This Scholarship

The Odisha State Scholarship Portal (OSSP) is the Government of Odisha's single window for student scholarships. Departments publish their schemes on it: the ST&SC and MBC Welfare Department (post-matric and pre-matric scholarships for Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, OBC/SEBC and EBC students), the School & Mass Education Department (Junior Merit and Pathani Samanta Mathematics Talent), the Higher Education Department (e-Medhabruti, Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana and others), and the Labour & ESI, Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Skill Development & Technical Education and Agriculture departments. A student registers once with Aadhaar and applies for the schemes they qualify for.

The portal's opening notice for 2026-27 invited fresh and renewal pre- and post-matric applications from 29 July 2026, with a closing date of 29 September 2026, institution verification by 9 October 2026 and approval by 9 November 2026. The Schemes page, checked on 5 October 2026, shows 30 October 2026 as the last date for the Post Matric Scholarship and 9 October 2026 for the Pre Matric Scholarship (Class IX-X); no separate extension notice for these dates was found. The portal's counter for 2026-27 showed 8,62,202 applicants from 13,026 institutions across 10 schemes.

The last dates in the scheme table are the values the portal shows. Dates earlier than 5 October 2026 belong to windows that have closed, and no 2026-27 date is shown for those schemes.
