About Amity University, Hyderabad
Amity University Hyderabad is a state private university set up under the Telangana State Private Universities Act, 2018. Its 20-acre, centrally air-conditioned campus is at Aerocity, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad, Hyderabad 500108, about five minutes from the airport. It belongs to the Amity group, whose accreditations page lists WASC (USA) and QAA (UK). No NAAC grade or NIRF rank is published for the Hyderabad university.
It offers:
- B.Tech.: CSE and its specialisations in AI, cyber security, data analytics, fintech, IoT and blockchain, and quantum computing; CSBS; ECE; and VLSI design.
- Integrated B.Tech.-M.Tech.
- BBA, BCA, B.Com. with ACCA, B.Sc. Data Science, and B.A. in psychology and administration.
- Design, architecture and law.
- MCA, M.Tech. and the MBA.
For 2026, the first-semester fee is Rs 1,91,000 for B.Tech., Rs 1,45,000 for BBA, Rs 99,000 for BCA and Rs 2,60,000 for the MBA. There are two semesters a year.
There is no entrance test. Applicants apply online (Rs 1,500), then take an English language test and an online faculty interaction. Class XII students with 80% or more get direct admission to most undergraduate programmes. The exceptions are architecture, design, education, fashion, law, B.Pharm. and physical education, and B.Arch. needs a NATA score. The campus has a 460-seat AC hostel, with separate hostels for men and women; Amity has not published the hostel fee.

Applying: fill in the online form (Rs 1,500, non-refundable). Selection is on Class 12 marks, an English language test and an online faculty interaction, so candidates need not visit the campus.
Direct admission: Class XII students of 2025 or 2026 with 80% or more aggregate are admitted directly to most UG programmes. This does not apply to architecture, design, education, fashion, law, B.Pharm. or physical education. For PG programmes, only Amity alumni get direct admission.
Programme rules: B.Tech. needs Class XII with Physics, Mathematics and a third subject, at least 55%. B.Arch. needs a NATA score. Some MBA programmes ask for MAT, GMAT, CMAT, CAT or XAT scores. Amity's 2027-28 admission dates had not been published on 14 October 2026.
