For 2026-27 the first-year fee (semesters 1 and 2) is Rs 1,94,400 for each of the six B.Tech programmes: CSE, CSE with AI and ML, AI and Robotics, Cyber Security, Data Science and AI, and Biotechnology. The total programme fee is Rs 5,79,600 (Rs 5,59,600 for Biotechnology), with semester fees falling from Rs 98,200 in semester 1 to Rs 43,200 in semester 8. Hostel is extra.

Yes. The Brainware Entrance Test (BET) is a one-hour, 100-mark multiple-choice test, and the admission procedure lists it as a step. The subjects depend on the programme, for example Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English for B.Tech CSE in AI and ML, and Law and English for LLM. Most programme pages say admission is by merit or BET; the B.Tech CSE page also names JEE Main and WBJEE. The university has not published BET dates, a fee or a syllabus.

The university's pages publish no NAAC grade (checked 16 October 2026). It hosts the data it submitted for NIRF 2026 in the overall, engineering, innovation, law, management, pharmacy and sustainable institutions categories, but its NIRF page states no rank.

In its NIRF 2026 data, of 2,800 students who graduated in the minimum stipulated time in 2024-25 across UG and PG programmes, 954 were placed (about 34%), with median salaries of Rs 1,96,006 for 3-year UG, Rs 3,18,000 for 4-year UG, Rs 2,28,000 for 5-year UG and Rs 2,64,000 for PG programmes. The placement page claims 98% placement, a 36 LPA highest CTC and 4 LPA average CTC without naming a batch; its certified report counts only students eligible for placement.

For 2026-27 the fee is Rs 10,000 a month for a 4-bed room including food and lodging, which is Rs 1,20,000 for 12 months, and Rs 12,000 (2-bed) or Rs 15,000 (single room) a month for girls. Yes. It is a state private university set up by the Brainware University Act, 2015 of West Bengal, in force from 25 February 2016, and is recognised by the UGC to award degrees at its main campus under Section 22 of the UGC Act. The university says it needs no AICTE approval because a State Act established it.
