Future Institute of Engineering and Management

Future Institute of Engineering and Management (FIEM) is a private self-financing engineering and management institute on Sonarpur Station Road, Kolkata (South 24 Parganas district), established in 2002 and run by the Future Education and Research Trust. It is affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal (MAKAUT), and the All India Council for Technical Education issued its extension of approval for 2026-27 on 9 April 2026. FIEM is part of the Future Education group, which also runs Future Institute of Technology and Future Business School. The institute states on its website that it has applied for NAAC accreditation, and it publishes NIRF data submissions for its B.Tech and MBA programmes.

The AICTE letter for 2026-27 approves six B.Tech branches with a combined intake of 420: Computer Science and Engineering (120), Electronics and Communication Engineering (120), Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) (60), Information Technology (60), Electrical Engineering (30) and Mechanical Engineering (30). The MBA and MCA are approved for 60 seats each, and the site also lists BBA, BBA (Analytics), BCA and BCA (AIML). B.Tech seats are filled through centralised counselling, 80 per cent from WBJEE and 10 per cent from JEE Main, with 10 per cent management quota; diploma holders can join by lateral entry through JELET. MCA admission is through WBJECA, and MBA candidates need a MAT or JEMAT score.
