ICFAI University Jharkhand

The ICFAI University, Jharkhand, formally the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, is a private university at Daladali Chowk, Simalia, near Ring Road, Ranchi. It was established under the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University Act, 2006 (Jharkhand Act 08 of 2007) by a Government of Jharkhand notification dated 17 June 2008. The UGC notified it under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 on 16 December 2009, and it is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. The Governor of Jharkhand is the Visitor, and the Bar Council of India has approved its BBA-LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.B. programmes.

Teaching is organised in the ICFAI Management School, the ICFAI Tech School (part of the Faculty of Science and Technology), the ICFAI Law School (part of the Faculty of Law) and the ICFAI Centre for Digital Transformation. Programmes include B.Tech in computer science and engineering, data science and AI, mechanical engineering, mining engineering and computational mathematics; BBA, BCA, B.Com (Hons.), B.Sc. in actuarial science and B.A. degrees; integrated BBA-LL.B. and BA-LL.B. (Hons.), LL.B. and LL.M.; MBA, MCA, a part-time Ph.D. in management and a polytechnic diploma in technology. Selection is by screening of the online application (Rs 500 fee) and an interview, with no entrance test named; the 2026 calendar lists interviews from 24 July, admission decisions by 31 July and classes from 8 August.
